Workshop: Managing a Pocket PC

On June 14, 2007 students from Pre College Summer Bridge were given a Pocket PC.  In order to use them, students learned how to save documents, information among other things.  The workshop was also offered by Ms. Nancy Vélez, Technology Trainer.

Workshop: Power Point

Students from Pre-College Summer Bridge, received a power point workshop on June 13, 2007.  During this workshop, students created their own electronic presentation and showed it to their classmates; They used the electronic blackboard to do this.  The workshop was offered by Ms. Nancy Vélez, Technology Trainer.

Workshop: A New Step

On June 13, 2007 Mr. Pedro Ramos from PRATP offered a workshop where he had a dialogue with students about their dreams, strategies to make them possible and how to succeed in college as well in real life.  “To persevere is to succeed” were he’s last words.  The workshop was very emotional.

Workshop: Internet and Microsoft Word

On June 12, 2007 the students from Pre College Summer Bridge received a complete workshop about Internet between 9:00 am – 12:00 noon.  Participants practiced various searches at the “Learning Center”.  During the period of 12:30 pm – 3:00 pm they were  given a Microsoft Word workshop, in which they had the opportunity to create different documents.  Both workshops were given by Mrs. Nancy Vélez, Technology Trainer.

Workshop: Motivation

On june 11, 2007  Mr. Javier H. Rivera gave a motivation workshop for the participants of Pre College Summer Bridge.  All participants experienced a five minute aromatherapy and tips for stress management.

Summer Bridge Participants Receive Materials for the Program

On June 11, 2007 each participant of the second Pre College Summer Bridge, received the materials that will complement the workshops, conferences and classes that are programmed.  Some ot the materials distributed among them were: a notebook for each class; spanish, english and math, textbook for each class, calculator, pen drive, dictionary and others.
