CIMA Project is located at UMET-Jayuya, from the Ana G. Méndez System.  Our project has four major objectives:

1.  Increase the Undergraduate retention rate to 80% in 2010 from 68% in baseline year 2004.

2.  Improve teaching and learning through a comprehensive professional development program to prepare 100% of the faculty to integrate technology into the curriculum by 2010.

3.  Develop technological skills of disadvantage rural Hispanic students in obtaining, organizing and evaluating information, as well communicating in formal, informal and academic settings.

4.  Increase the institution’s effectiveness in tracking students through recruitment, retention and graduation.
